Rallies in the North West

The North West Regional Secretary is John Sharpe. If you have any questions about their rally programme,   please  email  the   Regional Secretaries, specifying your question concerns the North West.
Please note that all rallies are subject to change or cancellation in the light of inclement weather, so it is vital that you check in the Forum's  North West Section for last minute changes. Members can find contact details for rally hosts in the Forum or Journal.

North West Planning Meeting 2025                      Saturday 8th February at   Hoylake Sailing Club on the Wirral
Meet at 10.30 for Tea/Coffee followed by the meeting
13.00 Lunch followed by talks given by members
Finish at 15.30

​6 April            River Dee
​Launch at Farndon, paddle/row downstream to Chester. Canoes or light rowing craft only.   Boats must be light enough to be launched by hand down a steep grassy bank.         MP

25-27 April            Coniston Water, Lake District        
Camp, sleep aboard or stay in a B&B.
Launching at Coniston Sailing Club if pre-arranged with the   Club or at  Coniston Boating Centre.                 JS
7-8 June            Dee Estuary / Liverpool Bay
Sail at HW  Saturday from Meols; sleep aboard at Hilbre; return to Meols for HW  on Sunday or  Monday.       JH  

​13-14 June               Menai Straits

28-29 June               Arnside Classic Boat Regatta

Launch at Glenridding Sailing Centre. Camp  at Gillside Camping and Caravan Park or  Side Farm Campsite.   You must register beforehand to launch at GSC .     Boat numbers may be limited.       AP

​​Another chance to explore the Dee Estuary and dry out somewhere overnight.     JH

​23-25 August           Glasson Dock
​Launch at Glasson Sailing Club.           MW
13-14 September               Llyn Tegid   (Bala Lake)

Launching at Derwent Water Marina.        BJ

​18-19 October            Windermere
Launching from High Wray Campsite for smaller boats, suggest Windermere Marina for larger boats.       MH

End of season meet.  Launch at Coniston Sailing Club or the Boating Centre.   Sleep aboard or in local hostelries. ​
​Saturday evening meal at the Yewdale.          JS
