April 27 Pontsticill Reservoir Day sail from Merthyr Tydfil Sailing Club in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. Meet at the Club at 10.30 for a sail. If we're lucky the steam train and café may be open, but bring a picnic lunch, and we look forward to a great couple of hours on the water, followed by a cuppa in company afterwards, and if you like, a walk round the reservoir and surrounding area too. June 21-23 Traeth Bach, Dwyryd estuary, Gwynedd Camp at Llechollwyn (grid ref SH 596 358), scenically beautiful location on the south shore of the estuary opposite Portmeirion. Space is limited so book early : llechcamping.co.uk/booking Launch by farm gate over slate beach. Light, shoal-draught boats only. Tide heights this weekend - 4.5-4.88m. We will plan to sail out on the ebb to Criccieth or further and back in with the evening flood during this rally. September 7-8 Llyn Tegid/Bala Lake, Gwynedd This rally will be based at Bala Sailing club LL23 7BS. Those attending who are not already members of the club need to pay £18 for a day membership which will cover the whole weekend and give access to the slipways, changing rooms, showers and café. Please pay this through the Bala SC website . Alternative launching is available by the Bala Adventure and Watersports Centre. You must purchase a Snowdonia National Park Day Permit for £5 from the Pay and Display machines at Llyn Tegid’s foreshore car park. |
